F Michael Young Task 1: Signs out and tracks field equipment: Suunto compasses for the semester (deposit required), 30 m tapes on occasion, data projector. Orders tracing and grid paper for use in class.
Task 2: plots class sets of maps and posters. Typically, 35-80 plots each year.

Task 1: Maintain and catalogue dept. field equipment (compasses, hard hats, safety vests, etc). Maintain sign-out sheet (hard copy and digital). Maintains inventory of equipment, orders when necessary. Oversees ordering and selling individual field accessories (hand lens, note books).
Task 2: Map and poster production. Maintain and distribute GPS and hand-held radios. Assist instructors in field transportation, oversight of field safety equipment, general assistance during mapping exercises.
